This was my first time experiencing cryotherapy so I was a bit nervous at first walking in. The place was extremely bright and welcoming (which is ironic because I walked in during a rainy, cold day.) The guy (I wish I remembered his name…) was EXTREMELY warm, friendly, and helpful. He made me feel at ease with the entire experience. He was knowledgeable and walked me through the entire process from getting undressed properly, to walking into the cryotherapy machine, to distracting me while my body froze (lol), to checking in with my experience as I left Chill Cryo. I was extremely impressed with the entire experience and had I lived closer, I’d be coming at least once a week! (I live in California and was only in NJ for the week).
As far as the cryotherapy experience: Before walking in for my treatment, another man walked out and said “it’s the worst 3 minutes of your life, but you feel great after!” He is absolutely correct! I thought I wasn’t going to make the entire 3 minutes as my body shivered head to toe… but right as I had that thought, the employee tells me “ok halfway there!” and I was like “wow really!?” (aka it went by faster than I thought it was going). After the 3 minutes, my body was cold but felt warm by the robe I put on right away. I also got a cryofacial so I laid in my robe a few minutes after. Everything felt amazing! I wanted to get back in the cryotherapy machine right away. It felt too short (lol).
I have since tried going to a cryotherapy here in California, but nothing compares to my experience here. I HIGHLY recommend this place! The next time I’m in NJ, I am going to buy a package and use it up during my visit!
